I first heard about Fossil Farm Organics when I went to this amazing 'Roar Food' workshop run by Suki and Brendan. They have a 'Bongo Bus' taking groups of like minded individuals (like you and me) out to the farm to help out and learn a thing or two... as you can imagine there are always things to be done. I wanted to learn how to grow organic food myself, and I couldn't think of a better way than spending the day getting my hands dirty and meeting new people.
My first visit was on Wednesday. Oh boy, what a beautiful place! Leah (who, incidentally 'LOVES' lettuce) gave us the guided tour of the farm after we tried the zipline and picked some strawberries (for sustenance of course).
We did actually do some work, in-between water fights, a stroll to the creek and mulberry picking. And did I mention the AMAZING organic lunch prepared by Leah and Suki? YUM!
It's also a great place to bring kids to show them where their food comes from.
